Former ASCR President, Joe B. Jones, died on Jan. 1, 2011, due to complications following heart surgery, he was 72. Joe served as the president of ASCR (RIA’s predecessor) in 1994 and was actively involved in the association for many years. He was married to Joyce for 53 years, and they had three children: Jeff, Jere and Jennifer.

According to a press release by the British Cleaning Council the Hospital Estates and Facilities Statistics reports that the NHS spent an additional 10% on cleaning hospitals in the past year alone. Along with these reports were the ones from the Health Protection Agency showing that hospital acquired MRSA infections has also dropped.
