"EPA Collects Nearly $1.9B for Superfund Cleanup"
Business Insurance (11/17/08) Hofmann, Mark A.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) raised almost $1.9 billion in private funding for Superfund cleanup in 2008, and $1.6 billion of that total will cover future work. More than $230 million will reimburse the EPA for past cleanup costs. Superfund has "met or exceeded" all its goals for 2008, says assistant administrator Susan Bodine, adding that the agency is completing construction projects as well as returning sites to productive use.
