The RIA qualifies as a tax-exempt organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, dues to the RIA are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal tax purposes but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense to the extent that they do not pertain to lobbying or political activities. RIA Membership Options
The RIA offers several different membership categories, each with easy and affordable payment options. Please note that membership dues are nonrefundable.
RIA membership dues may be tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. The RIA estimates that 10% of your 2025 membership dues is not deductible due to lobbying expenses. Please consult your tax advisor for further information.
- First Time Contractor Member Discount

First-time contractor members (or those lapsed 3+ years) are eligible for a discounted first-year rate of $299 or $25 a month.

This option is only available to US based members.
