Baltimore and Washington Sit Atop ‘Bed Bug’ Cities Listing

Orkin's Top 50 Bed Bug Cities ranks Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., in the top two spots. It is the third straight year that Baltimore has topped the list and the second consecutive year for Washington, D.C., in the second spot. Meanwhile, New York moved up two spots to No. 6, and Atlanta and Philadelphia entered the top 10, bumping Dallas and San Francisco. Other cities on the list include Chicago; Los Angeles; Columbus, Ohio; Cincinnati; and Detroit. Other cities that moved into the top 50 this year include Davenport, Iowa; Lansing, Michigan; Orlando; Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Youngstown, Ohio. The list is based on the areas where the company has done the most bed bug treatments between December 2017 and November 2018 at both residential and commercial properties.
