The Busy Season

Spring is not only a time of renewed growth but also renewed business for many cleaning and restoration firms. These firms need to prepare in advance for the so-called busy season, which means taking the time to look at the three years of data they have collected from the last busy seasons. This data should tell firms whether they need temporary workers, whether they need to spend more on marketing, whether competitors are getting more business and how much additional training workers need. Revising your budget before the season gets going also is a must, which means owners need to review their sales and expenses from the last few busy seasons to see what they stocked too much of and how much was spent on marketing. Further, companies need to assess their equipment, tools and other cleaning products; clean out truckmounts and perform routine maintenance; consider adding new equipment; and assess overall finances.
