The RIA Gives Restorers a Stronger Voice in the Industry

At the Restoration Industry Association (RIA), our mission is simple but powerful: Educate. Advocate. Elevate. As the industry trade association of restoration professionals, we are committed to standing up for restorers, advocating for fair practices, and building a stronger, more respected industry for all restoration professionals.

We believe all restorers deserve a strong advocate working to protect their interests and giving them a seat at the table when decisions are made that will impact their business.

  • Our advocacy efforts are guided directly by restorers with the goal of strengthening the restoration industry.

  • We advocate for peer-reviewed positions that promote fair practices and policies that support a restorers’ ability to perform services and meet the needs of their customers.

  • We advocate for these positions with third parties whose policies, practices and regulations may impact restorers including: legislators, regulators, third party administrators & consultants, adjusters, pricing software platforms and insurance carriers.

  • We proactively lobby against harmful legislation that will negatively affect restoration contractors and their ability to serve their customers.

  • We provide education to help restorers strengthen their business by understanding cost accounting, estimating, independent price lists, documentation, contracts, onboarding, technology, employee development, industry standards and technical training.

  • We provide networking and connections for restorers to learn from each other, build relationships, share insights, and identify key issues impacting their business & the industry at-large.

How to Share Your Voice
We recognize that there are many paths to protecting the industry and helping restorers succeed. Independent contractors, program vendors, small firms, large firms—all belong in this conversation. Your feedback helps us shape decisions, not only on advocacy but how we can best serve the needs of restorers.

There are several ways in which restorers can share their input and get involved:
