Spring Pests and Cities That Are Most Infested
Terminix has released its ranking of the top 25 most termite-infested cities in the United States. These pests cost more than $5 billion in damage to businesses and homes annually. Termites are prevalent in areas like Texas, Alabama, and California, but infestations can be found from coast to coast. Among the top cities in the list are Houston, Los Angeles, Mobile, Ala., San Antonio, San Diego, Dallas, Memphis, Tenn., Jacksonville, Fla., Miami, and Tampa. "In areas that experience damp and humid weather conditions, it's important to be aware of early warning signs for termites before damage becomes significant," says Joe Magyar, regional training manager for Terminix.
