Trump Signs Bill Extending National Flood Insurance Program
President Donald Trump signed into law a four-month extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) on July 31. The Senate passed the bill just hours before the NFIP was due to expire. Although it does not include reforms, the reauthorization does ensure that homeowners have flood coverage throughout the 2018 hurricane season.
